Anseta Pottery was established due to a growing interest in Mid 20th century design. We specialize in Vintage Ceramics, Glass and Lighting from many European countries - we have Scandinavian, French, German items, to name but a few.
During the course of our regular buying trips we also come across items of jewellery, objets de vertu and small pieces of furniture. Being teenagers in the 60's and early 70's, we were part of the London Fashion scene - Biba, Carnaby Street (my first Saturday Job in Lady Jane Boutique!) and the Marquee Club were favourite haunts. A love of textiles and kitchenalia sprang from these times.
We spend considerable time and effort on researching our items, and we have compiled Bibliography and Links sections, as well as a Designer/Factory Search, which we hope will be useful.
Most smaller items are shipped via the French or English postal services. We advise our customers to insure their goods. In some cases, we use transporters such as FedEx or Exapaq. If you have a preference, please let us know and we will try to suit your requirement.
The turnaround for this can be very fast (a couple of hours) or several days, depending where the item is located.
We ship to most but not all countries, including most countries in Europe. Feel free to ask if we ship to your country.
Maybe. Depending upon the item, it may be possible to provide serious customers with additional photos. However, it can take several days to get a photo taken and sent.
Perhaps. We maintain a wish list and sometimes we are able to locate an item that a customer is looking for that isn't on our website.
As often as we can, but not on any regular schedule.
No. We are not licensed appraisers and we do not do free appraisals. It is very difficult to appraise items without having them in hand and it requires a great deal of time. If you are looking for an appraisal, you should contact someone in your area.
