This is a charming miniature plate designed by Andreas Alariesto for Arabia Finland.  It is Number 25 in the series and is dated 1984.  The title is "Reindeer Herdsman and Sledge". It is part of the Lappland Collector Plates series  numbered from 6 to 55. Size: 4.5in (11.5cm)

Alariesto 1900-1989 was a self-taught Lapp artist.  He made his own brushes and is known for his paintings of everyday traditional Lapp life, namely the Sami people, often with reindeer.
