Schramberger Majolika Fabrik (SMF)

Originally founded in 1820, this factory underwent various changes of ownership, including a period when it belonged to Villeroy & Boch.  Many designs were floral or pictorial.  

During the late 1920's Eva Stricker-Zeisel was a prominent designer for the company and later Elfie Stadler produced many interesting pieces.  Stadler (1930 - 1968) was a talented designer, whose work typified the production of the 1950s.   Her work has become very collectable.
