Iittala

One of the most important glassmakers of the post war period, this Finnish company produced iconic designs by Alvar Aalto (namely the Eskimo Women's Leather Trousers/Savoy/Aalto vase range).  Later, the work of Tapio Wirkkala (1915-85) and Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2005) established the firm's international standing.  The designs of Wikkala for Venini and Rosenthal and Sarpaneva for Venini further expanded their designs.
